IPDP

Resources

See the Vermont Department of Education Local And Regional Standards Boards page.

One of the documents available on the Department of Education website listed above is The Vermont Re-Licensing Process: A Reflection of Ongoing Professional Growth, A Handbook for Educators. That handbook states that “as of July 1, 2004, all educators will develop IPDPs according to the revised requirements” described in that document.

Samples

The samples below may help you design an Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP). These samples are written in very different styles but all have been approved in recent years by various Local Standards Boards. Though names and other identifying information have been removed, the IPDP may still indicate specific grade levels as well as areas of certification. Some IPDP samples may be for individuals that hold multiple certifications, such as Library/Media and Social Studies or Reading. Please bear in mind that your IPDP must be approved by your Local or Regional Standards Board and you will need to conform to their requirements.

Each sample below can be downloaded in both MS Word and Adobe PDF format. Simply click on the document you wish to download. (Download a free copy of Acrobat Reader for PDF documents.)
