VSLA Award, Seeking Nominations & Committee Members

“The purpose of the VSLA Award is to recognize an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to school libraries and the library community.”

Do you know a wonderful, hard-working, under-appreciated school librarian? I’m sure you do! Well, it’s time to sing their praises. I am soliciting nominations for the VSLA award as well as seeking committee members to help me choose a deserving winner.

Serving on this small committee is a great way to get involved in your community of librarians. As a free time-challenged mom myself, I pledge to keeping work on this committee to a minimum and hope to only “meet” virtually, no driving necessary!

If you would like to nominate a school librarian for this award, please send me an email including the following information:

Your nominee’s name, email address, phone number & place of employment
Your name, email address, phone number & place of employment
The name, email address & phone number of a second reference
And of course, your reasons for nominating the candidate!

I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
