On Tuesday, May 13, Governor Douglas signed into law S. 220, “An Act Relating to the Confidentiality of Library Patron Records.” The new law will take effect July 1, 2008.

The Vermont State Board of Education has embarked on a public engagement process regarding the future of education in Vermont. Read The Future of Education in Vermont, the State Board of Education and Commissioner Richard Cate’s vision for the future.

If you have not renewed your VSLA membership since before last year’s Spring Conference, your membership expired as of June 30.  Please renew very soon, so I don’t have to remove you from the listserv on November 1.
